Keyword Rank Tracking
Keyword Rank Tracking monitors where your products appear in Amazon search results for specific keywords. A color-coded heatmap shows your organic and ad rankings over time so you can measure the impact of your advertising and optimization efforts.
Prerequisites
- At least one Amazon account connected
- Products with active Amazon listings
How it works
AdTrix checks your keyword rankings automatically every day at 6 AM UTC. When you add a new keyword, the first check runs immediately so you see results right away.
If your product doesn't appear in the top search results, the rank shows as 101+.
You can track up to 30 keywords per profile across all your ASINs. A keyword counter in the page header shows how many slots you've used. The counter turns orange when you have 5 or fewer slots remaining.
Page layout
The page has two views, controlled by the ASINs / Heatmap toggle in the header:
- ASINs view (default) — a product table showing your tracked ASINs with keyword counts
- Heatmap view — the rank heatmap for a selected ASIN
Click any row in the ASINs table to switch to the heatmap for that product.
Track a new product
- Click Track New ASIN in the page header
- Browse or search the product list by ASIN, SKU, or title
- Select a product and click Select & Add Keywords
- The Add Keywords dialog opens — continue with the steps below
You can also click an already-tracked ASIN, then click Add Keywords in the heatmap header to add more keywords to an existing product.
Add keywords
- In the Add Keywords dialog, type or paste your keywords in the text area — one keyword per line
- Keywords are automatically trimmed, lowercased, and deduplicated
- A preview shows your parsed keywords as chips (up to 10 displayed, with a "+N more" indicator)
- The usage chip shows your current count (e.g., "12/30 used")
- Click Add N Keyword(s) to start tracking
If adding keywords would exceed your 30-keyword limit, a warning appears and the submit button is disabled until you reduce the list.
Read the heatmap
The heatmap displays your ranking data in a grid. The selected product's image, ASIN, and title appear above the table.
Each tracked keyword gets two rows:
- Organic — where your product appears in organic search results
- Ad — where your sponsored ad appears
Columns represent dates, with weekend columns lightly shaded. Hover over any cell to see the exact rank and date.
Color legend
| Color | Rank range | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| Green | 1-10 | Excellent — top of page 1 |
| Yellow | 11-30 | Good — page 1 to early page 2 |
| Orange | 31-50 | Moderate — page 2 |
| Red | 51-100 | Low — deep in results |
| Gray | 101+ | Not ranking in top results |
| Light gray | — | No data for that date |
Change time range
Use the Days dropdown in the heatmap header to switch between time ranges:
- 7 days — recent snapshot
- 14 days — two-week trend
- 30 days — default monthly view
- 60 days — medium-term trend
- 90 days — full historical view
Remove keywords
Click the trash icon next to any keyword row to stop tracking it. Your historical ranking data is preserved — if you re-add the keyword later, past data will still be available.
