Frequently asked questions

Quick answers to the most common questions about AdTrix.

Getting started

How do I connect my Amazon account?

Click Amazon Connections in the sidebar, choose your marketplace region, and authorize AdTrix on Amazon's login page. The process takes about 30 seconds. See the full guide.

Which Amazon marketplaces does AdTrix support?

AdTrix supports North America (US, Canada, Mexico), Europe (UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain), and Far East (Japan, Australia).

Can I manage multiple Amazon accounts?

Yes. Connect as many accounts as you need from the Amazon Connections page. Use the profile selector at the top of the sidebar to switch between them.

Campaigns and targets

What campaign types does AdTrix support?

Sponsored Products (SP), Sponsored Brands (SB), Sponsored Display (SD), and Sponsored Television (STV). Some features like off-Amazon settings are specific to Sponsored Products, while bid strategy editing supports SP and SB.

Are changes applied to Amazon immediately?

Yes. When you edit a bid, budget, or state in AdTrix, the change is sent to the Amazon Ads API immediately. You'll see a confirmation once it's applied.

Can I undo a change?

There's no undo button, but you can always edit the value again to set it back. For bulk actions, use the same bulk action to reverse the change.

What does "7-day attribution" mean?

Amazon attributes a sale to the ad click that happened within 7 days before the purchase. This means sales data takes up to 7 days to fully populate.

Harvest & Negate

What's the difference between STR, SQP, and Amazon Recommendations?

  • STR (Search Term Report) — actual search terms that triggered your ads
  • SQP (Search Query Performance) — organic search data from Amazon Brand Analytics
  • Amazon Recommendations — targeting suggestions generated by Amazon's algorithms

Will harvesting create duplicate keywords?

AdTrix checks for existing keywords before creating new ones. If a term already exists as a keyword in your account, it won't be duplicated.

How do I configure harvest thresholds?

Click the Settings gear icon on the Harvest & Negate page. The Thresholds tab lets you set minimum conversions, clicks, and other criteria. See the Harvest & Negate guide for details.

Dayparting

How much data does dayparting need?

Dayparting requires at least 25 days of Amazon Marketing Stream data and a minimum of 5,000 clicks across your campaigns.

How often do bid adjustments update?

Multipliers recalculate daily at 2 AM UTC. Bids are applied hourly based on the current multiplier grid. You can also trigger a manual recalculation.

Does dayparting change my base bids permanently?

No. Dayparting applies temporary multipliers that adjust your bids hourly. When you disable dayparting, all campaigns revert to their original baseline bids.

Placement Optimizer

What placements does the optimizer support?

Top of Search (ToS), Product Page (PP), and Rest of Search (RoS) for SP campaigns. SB campaigns support ToS and RoS only — Product Page shows N/A.

How much can placements change in one run?

By default, each placement can move up to 50 percentage points per optimization run. You can adjust this in settings under Max Change Per Run.

What does "Runaway Bids" mean?

It means a campaign's placement bids are extremely high with very poor returns. The optimizer recommends resetting those placements to 0% before re-optimizing.

Brand & Competitor Terms

What are brand and competitor terms?

They're keywords you define as belonging to your brand, a competitor's brand, or unrelated to your products. AdTrix uses substring matching to automatically filter harvest recommendations containing these terms. See the Brand & Competitor Terms guide.

Do brand terms affect all features?

Currently, brand and competitor terms only filter Harvest & Negate recommendations. Other features like Campaign Creator and Recommendations are not affected.

Campaign Creator

What's the difference between Strategy Tiers and Quick Presets?

Strategy Tiers create structured campaign sets with multiple match types and targeting approaches. Quick Presets create single-purpose campaigns for specific goals like ranking or harvesting.

Can I create campaigns for multiple products at once?

Yes. Select multiple ASINs in Step 2 of the wizard and the Campaign Creator builds separate campaign sets for each product.

Products & Profiles

What's the difference between Product Overview and Profile Overview?

Product Overview shows ASIN-level metrics for a single profile — individual product performance with a 12-month heatmap. Profile Overview compares all your connected Amazon profiles side by side across 30, 14, and 7-day windows.

How is TACOS calculated?

TACOS (Total Advertising Cost of Sales) = Total Ad Spend / Total Sales. Unlike ACOS which only considers ad-attributed sales, TACOS includes all sales (organic + ad-driven), giving a more complete picture of advertising efficiency.

Search Query Performance

Where does SQP data come from?

Search Query Performance data comes from Amazon Brand Analytics, which is part of Amazon's Brand Registry program. You need SP-API access and brand eligibility for data to appear.

Why don't I see any SQP data?

Check that your account has SP-API connected (not just the Advertising API) and that your brand is enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry. SQP data is only available for brand-registered sellers.

Long-term Keyword Value

What is cohort ROAS?

Cohort ROAS tracks the cumulative return on ad spend for a keyword from the month it was created through the present. For example, a keyword created in January shows how its total sales divided by total spend evolves from January through the current month.

Why does cohort ROAS change over time?

Because it's cumulative. Each month adds new spend and new sales to the running total. A keyword might have high ACOS in its first month but improve as attributable sales accumulate over subsequent months.

Recommendations

How are keyword opportunities scored?

Opportunities are scored based on search query relevance to your product, current search volume, and your existing targeting coverage. Keywords with high search volume that you're not targeting score highest.

Keyword Rank Tracking

How many keywords can I track?

Up to 30 keywords per profile across all ASINs. A counter in the page header shows remaining slots.

How often do rankings update?

Rankings are checked daily at 6 AM UTC. When you add a new keyword, the first check runs immediately.

What does 101+ mean?

Your product wasn't found in the top search results for that keyword on that day.

AMC (Amazon Marketing Cloud)

What is AMC?

Amazon Marketing Cloud is an advanced analytics and audience-building service from Amazon. It lets you create custom audience segments based on shopper behavior (like cart abandoners or repeat purchasers) for use in your advertising campaigns.

How long does it take to create an AMC audience?

Audience processing typically takes 2 to 24 hours depending on the data volume. You can check the status on the AMC Audiences page and sync from Amazon to get the latest updates.

Custom Reports

Can I share reports with clients?

Yes. Click the Share button in the report editor to generate a link with a 7-day or 30-day expiration. Recipients can view the report without logging in.

What format are exported reports?

Reports export as PDF in A4 portrait layout. You can include your company logo in the header.

Account and billing

How do I invite team members?

Go to Team Management from your profile menu, enter an email address, and click Invite. Invited users join as Admin by default.

What's the difference between Owner and Admin?

Owners see all Amazon profiles and can manage billing, teams, and users. Admins only see profiles from teams they belong to.

How do teams control profile access?

Create a team, assign Amazon profiles to it, then add users. Each user only sees data from profiles in their teams. Owners see everything regardless of team membership.

Where can I manage my subscription?

Click Billing in the sidebar to view your plan, update payment methods, and manage your subscription.
